The Facts on Fax - Why Fax Over IP should be included in a IP Telephony Deployment
Deploying Fax in a Cisco IPT environment, the right and wrong way to implement Fax Over IP.
- Fax machines are an expensive, inefficient means to communicate with customers and vendors. As companies migrate their office equipment to Multi-Function Copiers and Voice Over IP telephone systems, the fax costs of supporting an analog fax infrastructure are commonly overlooked.
- By fax enabling desktop environments and Multi-Function Copiers through the use of a centralized fax server, operating expenses can be reduced through equipment and teleco infrastructure consolidation. Document based business processes such as order or claims processing can be improved, made more efficient, and made more secure and auditable.
- Since 1996, Sagem-Interstar Communications has provided fax server technology that has been used by over 5000 companies to obtain cost reduction and process efficiencies in the way they communicate with customers and vendors by fax. Our market leading XMediusFAX solution is the Global #1 Fax Over IP solution. Our partnership with Cisco led to the development of XMediusFAX for AXP, the world's first and only fax server that can be installed and run within a Cisco 2800 or 3800 series Integrated Services Router.
